Merem also shares the same people as Jurre. She is about 20 years old. She lives in the Ebeer Mountains, where Jurre had spent a year with his cousin Uman, during that time her father arranged the betrothal of her and Jurre. Neither of them were unhappy with the arrangement. Jurre always felt protective of her due to her rather meek and quiet personality, but his feelings were almost more fatherly; though they didn't marry before he left for war.
